I was born and raised in Orlando, FL. I am a senior majoring in Athletic Training. Outside of my classwork and clinicals, I spend a lot of my time in service and involvement - particularly at the Butler Center. I also spend time at the Herbert Wellness Center, where I work as an Intramural Supervisor and serve on the Student Employee Advisory Board. Post-graduation, I would like to further my education in a related field to obtain a master's degree.

My motivation towards an immersive lab experience comes from me wanting to be the best healthcare professional I can be. With an experience like this, I would be able to gain a deeper understanding of mechanisms to injuries and be able to apply that to my work.

As far as the mentoring aspect, it has always been my passion to give back and serve as a resource to high school students, especially those that represent a similar background to myself. As a Black woman, I know what it looks like to have to not have equitable opportunities and feel like the odds are against you, but this program helps by providing these high school students with an opportunity that they may not have ever thought of having, it prepares them for success.
